Conference “Progressive Agriculture – Tillage Systems, Farm Practices and Challenges”

The Institute of Agricultural Resources and Economics (AREI) and the Latvian Rural Consulting and Education Center (LLKC) invite you to the conference “On January 26 at 10:30"Progressive Agriculture – Tillage Systems, Farm Practices and Challenges", which will take place at the LLKC, Rīgas Street 34, Ozolnieki.

Main topics:

• The impact of soil cultivation on soil properties and crop yields;
• The influence of climate, crop growing location and sowing time on the productivity of host plant mixtures;
• Impact of host plants on the agro-ecosystem;
• Economic results of different farming systems: empirical data from the project;
• Assessment of nitrogen cycling in agricultural systems;
• Modeling tool for agricultural system selection.

There will be a discussion about the results of the project "Progressive farming system as a basis for environmentally friendly and efficient crop production in Latvia".
