LV A field day on ketosis treatment and prevention will be held on August 22nd
LLKC, in collaboration with the dairy farm SIA “Lestene”, the Farmers' Union and the Latvian Agricultural University, invites you to attend a demonstration field day on ketosis treatment and prevention measures using various treatment methods.
Field Day will be held August 22 in two parts from 9.30 to 14.00. Start in the hall of the Lestene People's House of Tukums region, continuation - in the dairy cow complex "Pienenes" of Lestene parish SIA "Lestene".
During the field day, there will be an opportunity to learn about the demonstration's goals, tasks, and the results of the second iteration. Scientific consultant A. Mālniece will talk about the practical application of various disinfection methods, about the possibilities of limiting and reducing the incidence of ketosis in dairy cows. LLKC consultant-expert in veterinary medicine D. Arbidāns will inform about the results obtained during the demonstration: analysis of milk composition indicators in demonstration groups, diagnostics of ketosis cases, and treatment results for demonstration group cows.
