A meeting of the Interreg project GYPREG partners was held in Krakow

On 27-28 June, a meeting of the Interreg project GYPREG partners took place in Krakow. During the meeting, the work carried out so far in the project was discussed and the next ones were planned. The hosting partners provided a description of Polish soils and their various treatments, as well as a comparison of different types of gypsum and an assessment of their respective quality for agricultural purposes.

 

The project partners visited a laboratory where experiments with gypsum were demonstrated. The meeting participants had the opportunity to visit the local Palečnica eco-farm, where a field trial of gypsum application to reduce phosphorus runoff is being implemented. Both days of the meeting focused on knowledge exchange between the partners. From the scientific assistants of LHEI at the meeting were Inga Bērziņa and Dace Vīksna.
