A regenerative agriculture masterclass will be held on May 20 and 21.
The Latvian Rural Consulting and Education Center invites you to a two-day master class on May 20 and 21, led by world leader in high-yield regenerative agriculture Graham Site.
We are facing increasing climate change, which is causing the prices of all inputs, fertilisers, agrochemicals, diesel, electricity, packaging and freight to rise. Economic viability has deteriorated to such an extent that many of our farmers are considering their future. However, there is also a positive aspect, and that is the realisation that something is wrong with a system that requires more and more chemical intervention every year, while global pest and disease problems are constantly increasing. In fact, it is an unsustainable solution – to continue to use more and more resources for less and less return.
These challenges have created an additional incentive to look for alternative approaches in agriculture. We have reached a stage in agricultural development where we must take responsibility for our own agricultural future. One solution is the regenerative approach. This approach has a solid scientific basis, and this science has developed to such an extent that there are currently no obstacles to our farming system becoming more sustainable. It is beneficial to work with nature, not against it. Balanced agriculture involves the interaction of minerals, microorganisms and organic matter. We use soil and plant tests to ensure an optimal balance between all minerals. A productive balance of minerals, microorganisms and organic matter is very important for crop resilience and resistance to disease.
To take the next steps towards regenerative for agriculture, we need knowledge, therefore the Latvian Rural Consulting and Education Center invites you to a two-day master class led by a world leader in the field of high-yield regenerative agriculture Graham Site.
The main emphasis of the masterclass will be on practical problem-solving strategies. During the masterclass, you will gain knowledge about:
- soil health,
- crop resilience.
- profitability.
The masterclass will combine cutting-edge science with practical agricultural wisdom, offering a unique combination of soil biology, plant nutrition, human health, and planetary sustainability.
Event progress – May 20, 21, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at Jelgava Castle, Lielā Street 2, Jelgava.
The potential audience for this master class is farmers, agronomists, and practitioners who want to deepen their knowledge about soil and plant health and building a system of sustainable agricultural practices.
