A summary of crop fertilization plans must be submitted electronically by November 30th.

The State Plant Protection Service reminds that a summary of crop fertilization plans must be submitted by November 30, indicating the actual harvest in 2019 and the fertilizers used to obtain this harvest.

 

In accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 834 of December 23, 2014 "Requirements for the protection of water, soil and air from pollution caused by agricultural activities"for farmers in particularly sensitive areas" (within the administrative territories of Dobele, Auce, Tērvete, Jelgava, Ozolnieki, Bauska, Vecumnieki, Iecava, Rundāle, Babīte, Mārupe, Olaine, Ķekava, Baldone, Salaspils, Stopiņi, Ropaži, Garkalne, Carnikava, Saulkrasti, Sēja, Ādaži, Inčukalns, Sigulda, Krimulda and Mālpils counties, except for Valle parish and Kurmene parish of Vecumnieki county, Lēdurga parish of Krimulda county, as well as the administrative territories of Jelgava, Riga and Jūrmala cities), When managing agricultural land of 20 hectares or more, as well as growing vegetables, potatoes, fruit trees or berry bushes of three hectares or more, the history of the fields must be documented for each field and, when using fertilizers, every year no later than until November 30 A summary of the crops grown for the current year's harvest must be submitted electronically to the VAAD.

 

The summary can only be submitted to the VAAD electronically:

  • using the Rural Support Service E-application system (RSS EPS);
  • by sending to an email address info@vaad.gov.lv, if the document has been prepared in accordance with the regulatory enactments on the preparation of electronic documents, i.e. signed with a secure electronic signature.
