A webinar was held on "Latvia's digital value in agriculture"

On March 30, a practical seminar “Latvia’s Digital Value in Agriculture” was held for Latvian farmers, during which participants had the opportunity to understand whether and with what digital tools it is possible to solve the challenges of everyday work. The Latvian IT Cluster told the webinar participants about trends in the IT industry. Maira Dzelzkalēja-Burmistre introduced the current affairs and interests of the agricultural industry in relation to IT solutions.

 

Further in the seminar, the owner of the agricultural enterprise “Vilciņi -1” Arnis Burmistris presented a groundwater and meteorological sensor experiment, while the owner of the agricultural enterprise “Lācīši” Gints Gžibovskis spoke about smart technologies in dairy farming. Subsequently, the invited companies presented various digitalization solutions and success stories in agriculture. At the end of the webinar, participants had the opportunity to meet with companies in virtual rooms to discuss the application of IT solutions of interest to them in agriculture.

 

The event is organized by the Latvian IT Cluster Digital Innovation Center in collaboration with the association "Zemnieku Saeima".
