Allocated diesel fuel per hectare of corresponding area

The Rural Support Service has made a decision on the total quantity of labelled diesel fuel allocated to the agricultural producer for the current financial year, which the agricultural producer is entitled to to be purchased from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019; by November 30 of this year, no more than 90 percent of the total allocated fuel quantity can be purchased.

This year, the service received a total of 17,763 applications for the allocation of diesel fuel in the Electronic Application System. An agricultural producer is entitled to purchase diesel fuel if it is used for self-transportation and in tractors or self-propelled agricultural machinery.

The amount of diesel allocated to farmers is determined taking into account the crop being grown:

  • crop production - 100 liters per hectare,
  • fruit growing, berry growing and horticulture - 130 liters per hectare,
  • grassland areas, if a minimum livestock density of at least 0.5 conditional cattle units per hectare is ensured (in organic farms the density is at least 0.4 conditional cattle units per hectare), — 130 litres per hectare,
  • for primary producers of animal feed on grassland areas who do not have a herd, housing and farm animals registered with the Agricultural Data Centre - 60 litres per hectare,
  • land under fish ponds - 60 liters per hectare,
  • other crops and areas that have been declared and approved for the single area payment - 60 liters per hectare.

By November 30 of this year, the agricultural producer's compliance with the requirements to receive fuel will be re-evaluated. The annual income declaration or company annual report submitted to the State Revenue Service, as well as clarifications to these documents submitted by September 30, will be taken into account.

In the 2018/2019 financial year, diesel fuel with a reduced excise tax rate shall not be allocated to an agricultural producer in difficulty.
