In Brussels, we call on MEPs to establish a special fund to mitigate the impact of the Russian embargo

Today we are working to explain the situation of Latvian farmers in order to promote the creation of a special fund for the most affected countries and faster provision of support to mitigate the impact of the Russian food embargo:
– informal lunch of European agricultural leaders with Mr. Siekierski, Chairman of the European Parliament's Committee on Agriculture;
– at a meeting of the Presidium of the European farmers' umbrella organization COPA/COGECA, where a debate is taking place with members of the European Parliament's Committee on Agriculture.
