Diesel for farmers
The Rural Support Service informs that agricultural producers have been allocated 90 percent of the total quantity of labeled diesel fuel for the 2017/2018 financial year per hectare of the corresponding area, to which a reduced excise tax rate applies.
Diesel fuel is granted to farmers for use only in agricultural machinery - tractors and self-propelled agricultural machinery for the production of agricultural products, as well as for self-transportation of goods.
Its quantity will be determined taking into account the following distribution depending on the crop being grown:
- crop production - 100 liters per hectare,
- fruit growing, berry growing and horticulture - 130 liters per hectare,
- alfalfa:
– for the area of alfalfa intended for animal feed, ensuring a minimum livestock density of at least 0.5 (on an organic farm – at least 0.4) conditional cattle units per hectare – 130 litres per hectare,
-for the area of lucerne declared for voluntary coupled support for certified grass and fodder plant seed – 100 litres per hectare,
- grassland areas:
– if a minimum livestock density of at least 0.5 conditional cattle units per hectare is ensured – 130 liters per hectare;
– on organic farms, the stocking density shall be at least 0.4 livestock units per hectare, — 130 litres per hectare,
– for primary producers of animal feed – 60 litres per hectare,
- land under fish ponds - 60 liters per hectare,
- other crops and areas declared and approved for the Single Area Payment (SAP) - 60 liters per hectare.
The procedure stipulates that diesel fuel is allocated for the hectare of area declared and approved for receipt of the Single Area Payment (SAP) for which income from agricultural production or aquaculture production has been secured, excluding state and European Union support received, in accordance with the annual income declaration submitted to the State Revenue Service or the company's annual report for the previous taxation year:
- at least 285 euros per hectare,
- at least 200 euros per hectare on a farm that is a certified organic farm in accordance with the regulations on organic farming.
