The kick-off meeting of the “Breedexpo2” project took place in Estonia

On January 10-11, the kick-off meeting of the project “Breedexpo2” took place in Estonia. The meeting was attended by representatives of the project’s lead partner, the Estonian Chamber of Agriculture and Commerce (Estonia), the association “Zemnieku saeima” (Latvia), and the Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners (MTK, Finland). At the meeting, we discussed the project’s activities and drew up this year’s work plan. At the end of the meeting, we visited Estonia’s only artificial insemination station for pedigree animals, where we got acquainted with the bioproduct laboratory and the bull pen from which the bioproduct is taken. We also visited the pen where bulls are raised for controlled fattening. The best specimens of these bulls will be prepared for the breeding bull auction, which will take place in April.
