Within the framework of the H2020 DESIRA – DIGITALIZATION: ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL IMPACT IN RURAL REGIONS LIVING LABS project, from 5 to 6 September, Raimonds Jakovickis participated in training in Estonia on opportunities to improve the quality of beef cattle. Professor Phill Bass from the USA was a guest lecturer at the training. The guest lecturer talked about the proper feeding of beef cattle to obtain marbled meat, how intermuscular fat is formed. He informed about the differences in carcass evaluation in the USA, Europe, and Australia. We visited a farm that breeds Hereford cattle.
