Everyone loves wetlands – seminar in Helsinki

The NutrInflow program, which involves four institutions from Latvia and partners from Finland and Sweden, aims to find effective ways of water management over a three-year period to reduce the loss of plant nutrients into natural watercourses, water bodies and the Baltic Sea. In mid-February, a seminar was held in Helsinki, during which experts from Finland, Sweden and Latvia met. The aim of the meeting was to review current experience related to the use of environmentally friendly drainage structures to improve water quality, as well as research that confirms the necessity and effectiveness of the structures.
