Exchange trip to Germany

From June 11 to 13, Iveta Grudovska, Valters Zelčs, Mārtiņš Trons and Raimonds Jakovickis visited Germany as part of the BSA (slurry acidification in the Baltic Sea Region) project. During the trip, they visited a dairy farm where biogas is also produced, an agricultural machinery service provider company BLUNK, and the experimental fields of Kiel University, where the effects of acidified and non-acidified slurry on yields are being tested. We also visited the DLG Field Day, where they could see agricultural machinery, including acidification demonstrations, and comparisons of cereal varieties. More about the trip in our autumn magazine.
