Experience exchange trip to farms in Kurzeme

The association "Farmers' Council" invites all interested parties to participate in an experience exchange trip to three agricultural enterprises in Kurzeme on July 6. During the day, there will be an opportunity to get acquainted with farming on dairy farming, sheep farming, and chicory growing and processing farms, as well as visit the Latvian Agricultural Museum in Talsi.

In the first half of the day, all interested parties will have the opportunity to visit the Latvian Agricultural Museum in Talsi and a dairy farm. Ugale Agro Ltd. Ventspils region, Ugāle parish. We will also inform and discuss current events in agriculture on this farm.

In the second part of the trip, we will go to Ēdole parish, Kuldīga region, where Mezoki The owners will introduce their sheep farm. We will conclude our Kurzeme trip with a visit to a chicory growing and processing company. SIA BiAgro Kurzeme visit to Skrunda municipality, Ranku parish.

During the experience exchange trip, participants will have the opportunity to learn about manure management methods not only in the dairy farming sector, but also in sheep farming. Z/s Wild boars is a project GreenAgri demonstration farm in manure management.
