LV Exchange trip to Sēlia
On September 25 of this year, a trip to Sēlija organized by the association “Zemnieku saeima” took place. In the first part of the trip, the farm “Mežāres” in Jēkabpils region was visited. The owner of the farm, Dzidra Jakovicka, informed about the inspection of the organic cattle farm, organic manure management. Then, Raimonds Jakovickis, an expert in animal husbandry at the association “Zemnieku saeima”, informed about the calculation tool – data calculations for each animal category and one type of manure. The trip was concluded by Kaspars Timofejevs, a member of the board of SIA “Kaldabruņa”, introducing his farm and organic manure management and soil improvement with nutrients.
