We explained the impact of gypsum on soil and water quality

On January 29, we visited the LU Nature House to tell the TV3 program “900 seconds” about the GYPREG project’s laboratory experiments with gypsum and its impact on Latvia’s various soil types. ZSA expert Iveta Grudovska introduced the Latvian soil maps and the GYPREG project itself, which aims to limit eutrophication in water bodies by reducing phosphorus loads from agriculture.

The event was organized within the framework of the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Transnational Cooperation Programme project No. #C040 “Reducing Phosphorus Load from Agricultural Land by Improving Soil (GYPREG)”.
