Farm Inc organizes the last project conference “Expo Milano 2015”

EU-supported project Farm Inc. September 30, Expo Milan 2015 held the final press conference of the project regarding the developed marketing training material for farmers.

Thanks to the support of the Italian Ministries of Education and Agriculture, Expo Milan 2015 at the exhibition Farm Inc. team presented a new, interactive e-learning platform. The e-learning platform aims to help farmers and other rural entrepreneurs better sell, promote, and export their products

Maira Dzelzkalēja, Vice President of the European Farmers' Union COPA, the project's partner organization, and Deputy Chairwoman of the Board of the Farmers' Union Association, for the achievements "During the project, we have received good feedback from stakeholders, including state institutions and the European Commission, about the work we have done. Farmers currently receive only a part of the real value of their produce, so we at COPA are fighting for farmers' rights to receive appropriate payment, as well as to increase the added value of the produced produce. The guidelines and practical advice provided in the Farm Inc. project are very useful in helping farmers successfully sell their produce."

M. Dzelzkalėja also emphasized the important role of cooperation so that farmers receive better payment for their produce. The project's leading partner organizations – Rector of the University of Macerata Luigi Lacchè) in turn emphasized the added value created by the project for the European and Italian agricultural sector.

Speaking in Milan, the project's partner organizations Militos Consulting SA President Olga Stavropoulou highlighted the fact that the agricultural sector has been one of the main forces in mitigating the impact of the crisis in Greece. O. Stavropoulou believes that the achievements of this project will help farmers to be even stronger and think more like entrepreneurs.

The project also involved leading Italian farmers' organizations Coldiretti and the Hellenic-American Union.

The association “Farmers' Council” introduced Latvian rural entrepreneurs to the operation and materials of the learning platform developed by Farm Inc. at seminars in Koknese, Tukums and Riga.
