Farmers are allocated the next amount of diesel fuel

The Rural Support Service, based on the Cabinet of Ministers' regulations "Procedures for exempting diesel fuel (gas oil) from excise duty used for the production of agricultural products, the cultivation of agricultural land and the cultivation of forest or swamp land where cranberries or blueberries are cultivated, as well as for the cultivation of land under fish ponds", has allocated the remaining amount of diesel fuel exempt from excise duty to farmers for the 2014/2015 financial year, i.e. from July 1 of the current year to June 30 of the following year.

Therefore, as of October 29 of this year, a total of 86.5 liters of diesel fuel have been allocated per hectare of the corresponding area for the 2014/2015 financial year.

Fuel with an excise tax exemption can be purchased from traders who are registered to sell such fuel. The list of fuel traders is regularly updated and published on the Latvian State Revenue Service website www.lad.gov.lv in the section "Excise fuel".

The Latvian Fuel Agency (RSA) encourages customers to use the electronic application system (EPS), as it allows them to track the amount of fuel used and the available balance.
