Farmers invite you to discover rural delicacies in September
Culinary tourism is an industry that many Latvian farmers develop alongside their primary production. In order to strengthen this additional activity as a separate industry and at the same time help consumers see the unique and delicious products produced in the Latvian countryside, the Association of Farmers' Councils has joined the culinary tourism project BASCIL, INTERREG Baltic Sea Programme.
A set of events has been prepared for the autumn season with the participation of project partners:
On September 14-15, we invite you to the home cafe days at the farm “Lejaskroķi”, in Matkule parish. Hostess Maija and her family will offer guests to enjoy rural delicacies, pet rabbits and kids, as well as get to know the farm's natural values. https://www.facebook.com/events/1180036949873293/
On September 14, Kuldīga will host the “Grow in Kurzeme” festival of flavors. The cooperative “Provinces Products” will participate in the festival with its delicacies, including offering Bruzīla beef, Nīca and Mežstrauti cheese. https://kalendars.kuldigasnovads.lv/event/kuldigas-garsu-festivals-audzs-kurzeme/
On September 20, an educational event will be held in Ādaži, near the supermarket “Apelsīns”, where we will introduce consumers to beef produced in Latvia and the nuances of its preparation. There will be an opportunity to both learn and taste it! During the event, the first smart refrigerator installed in Latvia will be demonstrated, in which products produced on the farm are sold by the Pilslejas supermarket.
On Friday evenings in September, the cooperative “Provinces Produkti” invites you to the Saldus evening market. On Friday evenings, it will be possible to purchase the products of all cooperative members, as well as meet the producers themselves for certain products. https://provincesprodukti.lv/veikals/
We invite you to visit and enjoy!
