Field day on August 17th at a beef cattle farm on evaluating the genomes of suckler cows

LLKC in cooperation with the “Mežāres” breeding farm, GLAB and LBTU invites you to attend a demonstration field day on the development indicators of offspring depending on the characteristics of the mother’s genome assessment under the same feeding system. The field day will take place in “Žubītēs”, Rubene parish, Rubeņi, Jēkabpils region; the second part – in the “Mežāres” animal shelter. The event will take place August 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The event will provide an opportunity to learn about the progress of the demonstration and interim results. In order to obtain high-quality animals, it is essential to carry out animal breeding based on genomic evaluation. This field day will focus more on breeding issues. Farm owners will talk about their experience in managing Charolais breed animals. AGENDA OF WORK
