From February 5, you can submit clarifications for rural blocks
From February 5 of this year, farmers can make adjustments to their field blocks/landscape elements for 2018. Requests for adjustments can be submitted until April 3 of this year.
Requests for clarification should only be submitted if the client wishes to include an already landscaped area in the rural block, add new landscape elements, or remove an unmanaged area from the rural block.
It is important to note that the area must be tidy at the time of submitting the request for clarification of the field block (no bushes, stumps, haystacks, etc.), as it will also be surveyed in the wild. If it is not tidy, it will not be included in the field block and the area will not be surveyed again during the season.
In the request for clarification of field blocks/landscape elements, there is an option to create a farmer's block (separating your managed area from the managed areas of your neighbors). It should be noted that requests for clarification of this type may be processed during the season.
We remind you that customers can check their managed areas in the RSS geographic information system, which contains the most up-to-date information on agricultural land and landscape elements in rural blocks: http://karte.lad.gov.lv/ or in the Electronic Application System. Taking into account the mistakes made by clients in previous years, the RSS reminds that a request for clarification of rural blocks is not an application for receiving area payments.
The Service draws attention to the fact that changes to the conditions that must be taken into account when indicating ecologically significant areas will come into force in 2018. Ecologically significant areas include fallow lands, large trees, alleys and large stones, clusters of trees, bushes or piles of stones, field edges or buffer strips, ponds, grassland sown with cereals or cereals and protein crops, areas of nitrogen-fixing crops, catchment areas, as well as ditches. More information about ecologically significant areas can be found in the attached infographic.
Important to note! Clusters of trees or bushes or piles of stones and ponds are landscape elements for which requests for clarification of field blocks can be submitted to include them in the field block or to clarify existing ones. Ditches from the ZMNĪ Land Reclamation Cadastre will also be used in the calculation of greening requirements, but the farmer does not have to indicate them himself.
There are also changes to the list of parishes and counties in which farmers are exempt from designating ecologically important areas. The list of counties and parishes can also be viewed in the infographic.
