From November 17th to 23rd, Uzbekistan was visited as part of the “Breedexpo2” project.
Mārtiņš Trons, a member of the board of the association “Zemnieku saeima”, Kaspars Ādams, the head of SIA “Liellopu izsoļu nams”, Uldis Ķirsis, the owner of SIA “Rāvas”, Gints Gžibovskis, the owner of ZS “Lācīši” and Arnis Bole, a representative of SIA “Naukšēni”, went to Uzbekistan. During the visit, the Uzbek veterinary service was visited, the issue of possibilities to restore animal transit through Russia was discussed, at Xalq banka we discussed possible cooperation in the exchange of knowledge about the livestock sector in Latvia. The livestock sector was familiarized with by visiting 2 dairy farms, a sheep farm and 2 agricultural cooperatives and a milk processing plant. At the Bukhara veterinary service, we introduced local livestock farmers to the Latvian livestock sector, and also discussed possibilities for the export of pregnant dairy calves to Uzbekistan.
