"Ieva's cheese" is gaining popularity in Slovenia!

On Wednesday, March 19, the “Ievas siers” cheese with amoline produced by the “Vecsiljāņi” dairy farm was presented in Slovenia, as part of the international project Producers' Learning Platform (Elma-tp) at the international conference “Agricultural Food Products: Challenges and Opportunities”. The project aims to promote the export of high-quality domestic products.

"Ievas siera" was represented in Slovenia by our project manager Inga Bērziņa. Approximately 60 participants attended the conference, from which marketing specialists for "Ievas siera" made proposals for the successful promotion of the product in the international market.

Project partners from Italy presented Extra Virgin oil from the Abruzzo region, which made a great combination: bread with olive oil and "Ieva's cheese"!

"Ievas siers" has been selected as the product nominated by the project partner: "Zemnieku Saeimas", whose recognition will be ensured by the Leonardo TOI project "Elma–TP", not only in the project countries, but throughout Europe. According to the criteria developed by the lead project partner, a second product will be selected in the coming months.

The conference took place within the framework of the project “Producers' Training Platform” (Elma – tp) of the association “Zemnieku saeima” (Farmers' Council) project no. 2013 – 1 – TR1 – LEO05 – 47598, which is co-financed by the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Union.
