July 11th – Field Day in Viļāni! We look forward to welcoming visitors to the ZSA tent!

On July 11, the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Economics and the Latgale Agricultural Science Center (LLZC), in cooperation with the Rēzekne municipality, are organizing the annual "Rural Day", to which all rural entrepreneurs and farmers who want to receive the most up-to-date information for the development of their farms are invited.

Field Day venue: LLZC demonstration fields near the A12 highway (Jēkabpils–Rēzekne–Ludza–Russian border (Terehova)), on the road section approximately 3 km from Viļāni in the direction of Rēzekne. During the event “Field Day”, you will be able to learn about the latest field crop growing technologies, obtain information of interest about the latest research on agrotechnical techniques, as well as see demonstrations of the latest agricultural machinery.

• Demonstrations of the latest agricultural machinery
• Field crop cultivation technologies, research into agrotechnical techniques (winter and spring cereal crops)
• Hemp breeding and cultivation technology
• Collection and breeding of fiber and oil flax
• Comparison of potato varieties and growing technologies
• Demonstration of soybean varieties and agricultural techniques
• Demonstrations of various crops in an organic field
