June 29 – seminar on options for reducing calving intervals

LLKC, in collaboration with SIA “3DPRO”, GLAB and AREI, invites you to attend the final seminar of the demonstration on June 29th on the possibilities of reducing the calving interval in organic farming.

The final seminar will be held at the hotel “Hotel Ērgļi”, (banquet hall) Rīgas iela 31, Ērgļi, Madonas novads, second part, at the premises of SIA “3DPRO”. The event will take place June 29 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The event will provide an opportunity to learn about the progress, development and results of the demonstration in a suckler cow herd. Inga Muižniece from the Latvian University of Biosciences and Technology will present the results obtained in her dissertation. The topic of the work is the quality of carcasses of meat breeds and their crosses slaughtered in Latvia. Farm owner Gunārs Vīgants will talk about his experience in managing Charolais breed animals and share his experience in implementing the project.
