The State Labor Inspectorate (SLI) is preparing to conduct more than a hundred surprise inspections in agricultural enterprises in September. The plans have been adjusted by the flood damage in Latgale. The inspectors promise not to disturb the most affected regions. At the same time, it is emphasized that the purpose of the thematic inspections will not be to punish farmers, but to improve their understanding of compliance with occupational safety. In the event of deficiencies, time will be given to eliminate them.
