"Latvijas Piens" visits London IFE

This year, from March 22 to March 25, our member SIA "Latvijas Piens" presented its products at the London IFE (International Food and Drink Exhibition). The exhibition was local-regional, specifically aimed at the British market. "Latvijas Piens" emphasized the quality of its cheese products, as this product has a long tradition of consumption in the UK. With the product "Sniega Bumba", the company wants to enter the country's premium in store chains like Waitrose.

To get closer to its goal, "Latvijas Piens" has obtained the internationally recognized BRC elite food safety certificate - which certifies that the products and company's operations comply with the standard set by BRC.

During the exhibition, the company presented itself to various retail chains and has entered into negotiations with some of them. The contacts gained and the identification of the latest trends are considered a very positive outcome of the exhibition.

Participation in the event was possible thanks to the agreement No. PAK-LIAA-2015/174 concluded on March 19, 2015 between the association “Farmers' Council” and the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia on the implementation of the activity “Development of foreign markets” of the project “Participation in the international exhibition IFE London from March 19 to March 22, 2015”. The project is co-financed by the “European Regional Development Fund”.
