LIVERUR Living Practice Laboratory (LIVING LAB) field seminar in Bauska region

On June 17, the association “Zemnieku Saeima” went to the LIVERUR Living Practice Laboratory (LIVING LAB) field seminar in the Bauska region, visiting the musician IGO art center “Ceplis” and the Z/S “Baltās anemones”.

Artist IGO introduced the historical Lime Kiln building. The unique industrial building with a massive chimney in the center can be viewed on two floors, as well as viewed from the inside. On the second floor there is an exhibition room where historical bricks can be viewed. And in the windows of the former dormitory in the building “Ceplis 10”, works by 12 artists of the Flash Plein Air can be viewed. Igo showed a souvenir and art room and enthusiastically told how works of art are created. Some of the buildings of the factory complex created by Ceplis in the 19th century have still survived, and currently SIA “Igo mūzikas menedžments” is working on a project to develop these buildings and create an art and music center.

Next, the Deputy Chairwoman of the ZSA Board, Maira Dzelzkalēja-Burmistre, introduced the seminar participants to the New CAP in the field of horticulture. After discussions and discussions about current events in the sector, we got acquainted with the family farm “Baltās anemones”, which grows a diverse assortment of vegetables, berries and apples, which are sold in Riga to cafes and online stores. “Baltās anemones” offers not only fresh vegetables to buyers, but also offers the opportunity to relax in a guest house on the banks of the Lielupe River.
