LV Meeting with an NGO from Italy
On August 21, 2019, at the Ministry of Agriculture, experts from the association “Farmers’ Council” met with a non-governmental organization from Italy: CIMI – Sickness and Accident Fund for Agricultural and Floricultural Workers of the Province of Mantua. The meeting was organized to develop and deepen knowledge about collective bargaining relations, social and environmental protection, as well as the welfare of agricultural workers in various European Community countries, taking into account the development and progress of local production. Both parties agreed to organize an experience exchange trip to the three Baltic States, including Latvia, next year to visit various agricultural companies! Also, during the meeting, the concept of the LIVERUR project was presented and we also got acquainted with the activities and goals of CIMI!
