October 27 – webinar on the opportunities and challenges of the Green Deal for farmers

On October 27, from 10:00 to 13:00, a free webinar “Green Deal Opportunities and Challenges for Farmers” organized by the Elektrum Energy Efficiency Center will take place. During the webinar, you will learn about the goals of the European Green Deal, available support solutions for farmers, as well as energy-efficient technologies that allow you to reduce energy consumption and improve competitiveness.

Approximately 20% of greenhouse gas emissions in Latvia are generated by agriculture, so in order to achieve the sustainability goals set by the European Union, improvements are also needed in the agricultural sector. It is important to understand that achieving these goals will not only be challenging, but will also provide several opportunities, so it is important to be aware of what awaits the agricultural sector in the coming years.

Topics:

  • The European Green Deal – threats and opportunities for domestic farmers
  • Available and planned financing instruments for farmers
  • New distribution network connection tariffs
  • Electrum sustainable solutions for farmers
  • A farmer's experience story in using sustainable technologies
  • Electrum Energy analytics platform
