LV October 5 – remote field day on the causes of elevated somatic cell counts in milk
On October 5, at 10:00-12:40, the Latvian Agricultural Council, in cooperation with the dairy farm “Sarkaņi”, the Farmers' Council and AREI, invites you to a remote field day on the causes of increased somatic cell counts in milk and their prevention options in dairy herds on a dairy farm.
During the field day, there will be an opportunity to learn about the progress of the demonstration, the results, as well as changes in milk yield and somatic cell count in milk depending on the dry period and calving period. Farm owners will share their experiences. The farm veterinarian will share his experience about this summer's progress and a reference to cow health.
