On March 26, a seminar “Plant protection in horticulture and protective plantings” was held.

On March 26, the Farmers' Assembly organized a remote seminar "Plant Protection in Horticulture and Protective Plantings". At the seminar, ZSA foreign policy expert Valters Zelčs spoke about the challenges of the near future for farmers. Jūlija Sebeleva, Senior Inspector of the Plant Quarantine Department of the State Plant Protection Service, presented the organisms regulated by regulatory enactments in fruit and berry tree nurseries. Inga Bēme, Senior Inspector of the Vidzeme Regional Department of the State Plant Protection Service, spoke about current pests and diseases of fruit and berry trees. Then, Andrejs Vītoliņš, Head of the Dimzas Nursery, spoke about the types of protective plantings and examples of their application. At the end of the seminar, ZSA project manager Inga Bērziņa presented the LIVERUR RAIN model.
