On May 25, a discussion took place about digital marketing in the Latvian beef cattle industry
On May 25, at the Staburaga meeting house “Vīgante”, Staburaga parish, Aizkraukles county, we organized a discussion “Digital Marketing in the Latvian Beef Cattle Sector”. Before the discussion, presentations were made by Raimonds Jakovickis, Livestock Expert, Association “Zemnieku saeima” – Characteristics of the Beef Cattle Sector; Dace Freimane, Department of Market and Direct Support, Ministry of Agriculture – Beef Market Overview; Emīls Ķīlis, researcher at “Baltic Studies Centre” – Examples of Digital Marketing.
After the presentations, discussions took place about the digitalization of rural areas and their opportunities in the beef trade. After the discussions, Alda Paura, owner of SIA “Sēļu zeme”, presented her farm's experience in cattle breeding.
The discussion took place within the framework of the Horizon 2020 project DESIRA (Digitalization: Economic and Social Impact on Rural Environment).
