A conference on soil health will be held at the Cultural Center “Ulbrokas Pērle” on May 28th.
On May 28, at the cultural center "Ulbrokas pērle" we are organizing a conference on soil "Investments in healthy soil - benefits for the environment, people and the economy". The seminar will review the latest research on how different farming methods affect the microbiological state of the soil, the results of agrochemical monitoring of Latvian soils, a guest lecturer from Brussels will inform about the legislative changes related to soil expected in the coming years. Turning to a topical topic for our farmers - soil liming - Andris Skudra will talk about liming trials in Latvia, while guest lecturer Sari Peltonen will talk about the liming experience in Finland.
