On November 17, 2021, we visited the “Bruzilu liellops” store in Saldus. The owner of the store, Agnese Arne – Štencele, owns a herd of beef cattle and sells beef in the store. In addition to beef, the store also offers buyers products from local home producers. The beef trade began when the owners themselves liked the steaks, and friends were also treated to them. Demand for high-quality beef began to form and it was decided to start trading. Since it is difficult for one farm to ensure independent beef supplies, “Bruzilu liellops” is also among the founders of the cooperative “Latvijas liellops”. Being in the cooperative has the opportunity to regularly offer beef to beef buyers. Beef can be ordered on the cooperative's website galaspiegade.lv, but the farm also has its own website bruziluliellops.lv, as one of the farm's areas of activity is the sale of breeding cattle.
