Partners meeting and seminar in Rostock
From March 2 to 5, within the framework of the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme project BASCIL “Innovative solutions for food production in rural areas with the aim of diversifying sustainable culinary tourism services”, representatives and associated representatives of the Farmers' Parliament Zanda Melnalksne, Aira Odinga, Līga Krūklīte, Rūta Barovska and Agnese Arne-Štencele participated in an experience exchange and study visit to Rostock, Germany.
During the visit, a meeting of project partners was held, where we reported on the work done in the current period, as well as reported on the planned work until July 2025. In discussions with tourism experts from other partner countries, as well as visiting the demonstration companies of the German partner – the salt “tower” Salz-Manufaktur Mecklenburg-Vorpommern | Trinwillershagen, Mannerhobby (Startseite – MAENNERHOBBY Brennerei), Ostseemühle, etc., we gained new ideas and initiatives for implementation in Latvia. Representatives of the associated partners informed about their specific experience, attracting visitors and customers to their companies. As always, visits to the production facilities themselves and the owners’ stories about production processes, various challenges and achieved results are inspiring!
