Pitstop+ partners meeting in Scotland

From January 20 to 22, a meeting of the “Pitstop+” project was held in Scotland. The association “Zemnieku Saeima” was represented in the project by livestock expert Raimonds Jakovickis. The project partners from Scotland, Denmark, Lithuania and Germany also participated in the meeting. At the meeting, we discussed the current situation with the progress of the project in each country and on a specific farm. We visited the University of Glasgow, where we looked at a laboratory where various innovations for livestock farms are created. We visited the farm “Parkend Farm”, where 4 milking robots milk 200 “Holstein” cows. A representative from AgriEpiCentre and talked about innovative technologies that are being tested around the world on 24 pilot farms.
