LV SEMINAR “IMPROVED STANDARDS FOR SUSTAINABLE MANURE NUTRITIONAL MANAGEMENT AND EMISSION REDUCTION”
On August 29 of this year, a seminar was held at the Ministry of Agriculture: “Improved standards for sustainable manure nutrient management and emission reduction”. In the first part of the seminar, Iveta Grudovska, an agricultural expert from the association “Zemnieku saeima”, presented a guide for farmers on good manure management practices. Subsequently, Maira Dzelzkalēja-Burmistre, an agricultural policy expert from the association “Zemnieku saeima”, spoke about organic manure management to reduce GHG emissions. The seminar was concluded by Iveta Grudovska, an agricultural expert from the association “Zemnieku saeima”, presenting the results of the Manure Standards project questionnaire survey, a summary of farm visits and planned events.
