LV SEMINAR-DISCUSSION: “Nutrient Calculation Tools – An Assistant on the Farm”
On September 19, 2019, a seminar - discussion took place at the farm "Jaunkalējiņi", Grundzāle parish, Smiltene municipality: “Nutrient calculation tools – a helper on the farm”.
In the first part of the seminar, Zanda Melnalksne, innovation development expert of the “Manure Standards” project, introduced the Manure Standard project, its tasks and results. Subsequently, project expert Maira Dzelzkalēja – Mayor informed about current issues in the legislative requirements for manure management and the rules of good agricultural practice. In turn, the first part of the seminar was concluded by the owners from the Z/s “Jaunkalējiņi”, informing about the manure management practice on the farm.
The second part of the seminar included a demonstration and discussion of the nutrient calculation and planning tools developed in the Manure Standards project, led by Zanda Melnalksne, an innovation development expert for the Manure Standards project.
