LV Seminar on new technologies for Latvian greenhouses, gardens and fields
This year. On October 4, the association “Zemnieku saeima” organized a seminar “New technologies for Latvian greenhouses, gardens and fields” at the exhibition complex “Rāmava”. In the first part of the seminar, Aigars Miglāns, a member of the board of the company “AM Ozoli”, informed about the latest trends in the covered areas industry and why covered areas are and will become increasingly popular in the world. Then, Tom Zöllner, the general secretary of the association “FarmTech Society”, spoke about hydroponic technologies and what future solutions are for effective gardening. The seminar was concluded and the experiment: “Water quality and meteorological sensors – an experiment on the farm Vilciņi – 1” was informed by its implementation team: Inga Bērziņa from the association “Zemnieku saeima” and Ainis Lagzdiņš from the Latvia University of Agriculture.
