Seminar “Latest Trends in Horticultural Product Packaging”

On February 3, the ZSA seminar “Latest Trends in Packaging of Horticultural Products” was held remotely. The new period of the CAP and support during the transition period for the vegetable sector were presented by ZSA foreign policy expert Valters Zelčs. Miķelis Grīviņš, leading researcher at the Baltic Studies Centre, spoke about changes in the future food chain. Later in the seminar, LLU professor Sandra Muižniece – Brasova spoke about current events in the packaging industry and food packaging. In turn, Solvita Boldāne, project manager of SIA “Latgales žērūs loģistika”, presented current events in vegetable farming during COVID-19, as well as solutions for using various types of packaging. At the end of the seminar, ZSA project manager Inga Bērziņa presented the LIVERUR RAIN model.
