Smiltene Technical School invites you to learn the profession of land reclamator

An opportunity for entrepreneurs to educate new employees. An opportunity for young people to learn a profession that has not been taught anywhere for more than 25 years.

Hydraulic construction technician (reclamation) is the newest program at Smiltene Technical School.

It is a profession for which the Latvian labor market has long been yearning for educated employees.

This program can be learned Within the framework of the Youth Guarantee (YG) project

(European Union)unit Social Fund support).

Duration of study 1.5 years.

Scholarship – up to 115 euros per month.

Students of this program live in the official hostel free of charge.

The said program also provides for:

  • Provision of necessary teaching aids and equipment;
  • Paid travel and/or accommodation expenses during the qualification internship up to 71 EUR per month;
  • Paid expenses for mandatory health examinations (if required by the specifics of the profession);
  • Accident insurance during the course of the educational program and civil liability insurance during the qualification internship;
  • Obtaining additional certificates or licenses, if required by the specifics of the chosen profession;
  • If necessary, the opportunity to additionally study general education STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects to ensure that the level of knowledge meets the requirements of the relevant vocational education program;
  • Career support measures.

The program offers learning opportunities for young people aged 17–29 years old, with completed secondary education.

From the age of 17-24, a young person can also be in an employment relationship.

From 24 to 29 years old, someone who doesn't work.
