Support for non-agricultural activities, including tourism

The Rural Support Service announces the acceptance of project applications under the sub-measure from June 18 to July 18, 2018. “Support for investments in the creation and development of non-agricultural activities”.

The third round of public funding is available for several activities:

• “Development of non-agricultural activities” and “Diversification of non-agricultural economic activities” in the amount of 11.99 million euros;
• “Promotion of tourism activities” 10 million euros.

Funding is distributed according to the principle of regionalization.

The aim of the measure is to promote non-agricultural economic activity and employment in rural areas, as well as to diversify non-agricultural activities in order to develop alternative sources of income and increase income levels in rural regions.

Project applications must be submitted using the Latvian State Administrative Service's Electronic Application System.

The end date for the implementation of submitted projects, if investments are made for the purchase of fixed assets - one year from the date of the decision of the RSS on the approval of the project application, if construction, reconstruction and purchase of fixed assets are carried out - two years from the date of the decision of the RSS on the approval of the project application.

The project acceptance round has been announced within the framework of the European Union's European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Rural Development Programme's measure "Development of Farms and Entrepreneurship".
