Deadlines related to VAAD

1) Annual reports on fertilizers must be submitted by January 31st.

We remind you that according to Law on the Circulation of Fertilizers Article 5, Paragraph one, Clause 2, the manufacturer of fertilizers, the preparer of mixtures of these fertilizers and the importer shall submit information to the VAAD by 31 January each year on the fertilizers (with or without the EC marking) or mixtures thereof produced or imported for sale in the previous year (indicating the type, name and quantity of the fertilizer).

The prepared reports should be submitted to the Agrochemistry Department of the Agricultural Research and Development Agency (Lielvārdes Street 36/38, Riga, LV-1006) or by e-mail: dainis.levans@vaad.gov.lv.

2) A report on the plant protection products distributed by a merchant in 2014 must be submitted by April 1.

We remind you that according to Plant Protection Law Article 8, Part Five, merchants who distribute plant protection products must submit information to the State Plant Protection Service by April 1st of each year regarding the volumes of plant protection products distributed to end users in the previous calendar year.

To facilitate the reporting procedure, the Rural Support Service Electronic Application System (RSS EPS) is offered e-service "Overview of distributed plant protection products"In this system, data can be entered both manually and, for larger amounts of data, using CSV file loading.

Reports to the State Plant Protection Service can also be submitted as before, using the report form developed by the State Plant Protection Service or by submitting data in free form. Original report must be sent by post or submitted in person at any branch of the State Plant Protection Service in the regional department, preferably in the territory where the legal address of the merchant is registered. The electronic version of the report is accepted only if it is signed with an electronic signature in accordance with the requirements of regulatory enactments. The electronic version must be sent by e-mail to the regional office of the State Plant Protection Service to the head of department, in whose territory the merchant's legal address is located, or to info@vaad.gov.lv.
