The wise use of manure in agriculture is an economically viable sustainable solution that improves soil structure and increases productivity. However, if used carelessly, it can harm the environment. Therefore, standards for the use of manure and methods for calculating its use are being developed in Latvia and the Baltic Sea region, the project name is “Manure Standards”.
