In 2015, the cadastral value of agricultural and forest land was maintained at the 2014 level.
Determining the cadastral value of land is one of the most important issues for every producing farmer, therefore, representing the interests of our members, we have repeatedly appealed to the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Justice, and the Ministry of Finance, calling on them to maintain the cadastral value of agricultural land in 2015 at the same level as in 2014.

We are pleased to announce that on June 25, the Minister of Agriculture Jānis Dūklavs, meeting with specialists from the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development, the Latvian Association of Local Governments, and the State Land Service, agreed that that in 2015, the cadastral values for agricultural land and forest land will remain at the level of 2014. In turn, starting in 2016, the cadastral value for agricultural land and forest land could be calculated taking into account the limitation on the increase in the amount of real estate tax.
