Applications for the “Modernization of Farms” program are approaching.

An applicant for support is a natural or legal person who: produces (the year has been concluded and the annual income declaration or annual report has been submitted) unprocessed agricultural products referred to in Annex I to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, except for the production of fishery products, as well as the breeding of domestic (pet) animals and animals not covered by the Breeding and Animal Breeding Law.

Activities supported within the framework of the event: construction of new manure storage facilities, reconstruction of existing manure storage facilities, purchase of necessary building materials and stationary equipment.

Support intensity: 40% of eligible costs.

The support intensity is increased by 5%:

• a natural person who is under 40 years of age on the date of submission of the project application;
• a legal entity, if its member – a natural person who owns more than 51% of the share capital of the holding, is under 40 years of age on the date of submission of the project application.

The support intensity is increased by 10% for support applicants who:

• investments are made in regulatory enactments on granting state and European Union support for rural development, improvement of the environment and rural landscape in certain less favoured areas and after completion of the project, the agricultural product production building (manure storage) is located in less favoured areas.
• implements project activities in the dairy sector, which is covered by Council Regulation (EC) No. 1234/2007 of 22 October 2007 establishing a common organisation of agricultural markets and on specific provisions for certain agricultural products (Single CMO Regulation), Chapter III, Section III.

Eligible costs

During the programming period, the total amount of eligible costs for one applicant for support shall not exceed EUR 3,984,041 and may exceed its revenue from the production of agricultural products in the last closed year prior to the submission of the project application:

• no more than 7 (seven) times if the support applicant implements a project in the construction activity.

This condition does not apply to applicants if their total eligible costs supported during the programming period are less than EUR 213,431.

The amount of costs eligible for one aid applicant in the selection round does not exceed EUR 300,000.

In accordance with Article 24(2)(d) of Commission Regulation (EU) No 65/2011 of 27 January 2011 laying down detailed rules for the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No 1698/2005 as regards the inspection procedures and cross-compliance in relation to rural development support measures, maximum eligible costs for calculating public funding lagoon construction projects are determined 30 EUR/m3, for above-ground metal structure storage facilities 40 EUR/m3 and for concrete manure storages, in accordance with Annex 5 to Regulation No. 1026, the maximum eligible costs for calculating public funding are set 49.80 EUR/m3.
