On February 28, the annual congress of the Farmers' Council of the Association was held in Bulduri, which brought together participants from all regions of Latvia. In parallel with the discussions of current issues in the industry, we invited the congress participants to get acquainted with the SmartAgrihubs project experiment: GROUNDWATER AND WEATHER SENSORS - Development of a system on the Internet for integrating physical measurements and satellite data to facilitate information processing and provide support to farmers in decision-making and the implementation of precision agriculture.

How: The system stores and integrates data from local sensors, satellite imagery, and weather forecasts. Performing various analyses using the integrated data to facilitate decision-making.

Next steps: Platform created at the initiative of farmers. Development of an analytical program using integrated data. Testing the system on a pilot farm and implementing improvements arising from discussions.
