The Latvian State Agricultural Society has begun paying support for breeding work in dairy herds
The Rural Support Service has begun disbursing support for breeding work in dairy herds under the measure "State support for evaluating productivity data of dairy cows of dairy breeds."
The Rural Support Service grants support to farmers for determining and evaluating productivity data of dairy cows of one dairy breed:
– for a dairy cow of dairy breeds (including colostrum) whose milk yield in the last completed standard lactation (240 – 305 days) is up to 6999 kilograms and a dairy cow of dairy breeds whose productivity was not determined – 49.28 euros;
– for a dairy cow of dairy breeds, whose milk yield in the last completed standard lactation (240 – 305 days) is from 7,000 to 8,999 kilograms – 59.28 euros;
– for a dairy cow of dairy breeds, whose milk yield in the last completed standard lactation (240 – 305 days) is at least 9,000 kilograms – 71.28 euros.
Support will be received by farmers who have milk supply quotas and who deliver milk for processing.
The allocated funding is 7.9 million euros.
