This year, you will only be able to apply for area payments electronically!

The Rural Support Service (RSS) informs that, starting this year, it will only be possible to apply for area payments electronically, using the RSS Electronic Application System (EPS).

In order to use the mentioned system and submit an application, farmers must conclude an agreement on the use of the services of the RSS electronic application system. RSS calls on all farmers who have not already become EPS users to conclude an user agreement in the near future, so that they can start using EPS and submit an application for receiving payments in time in the spring. The agreement form is available both electronically on the RSS website www.lad.gov.lv in the menu “How to become an EPS user", as well as at any RSS customer service center. A completed contract can be submitted both in person at RSS customer centers and electronically, using an electronic signature.

In the spring, before the submission of area payments to the EPS begins, the Latvian Agricultural Service will organize support measures for farmers on using the EPS and applying for area payments electronically. Support will also be provided by the Latvian Rural Advisory and Education Centre.
